My experience in a dairy & the river....(it was almost great)

My experience in the Gingue Brothers Dairy was alright but the smell was really bad.The farm stink so much that I could not believe it. The farm was great and it was really big.

There was a lot of free space to walk around, you could enjoy yourself there if it was not for the smell, this place could have been paradise.
The cows there even listen to music, can you believe that. The cows need to be in really relax condition so they can produce more milk.

I think this is a small farm but it's a really clean one, you can walk around with nothing bothering you, except the smell.

What I was really surprised about is at first the smell, but then I notice this huge "pond" of cow poop. It's really big and deep is like 8 meter. But you want to know something you would not like to go swimming in there.

In the recreation path, we have a great time everyone was enjoying the food that Christine made and swimming in the river. I really like this place it's really far away from the city so it's really natural. You can do a lot of different things like swim, place Frisbee, or just lay down in the grass in the shade.
I think everyone enjoy our time in this park and we really had a great time and it was all thanks to Christine.
Christine the food was really great and  it was so sweet from you.
Everyone was having a great time in the river, the water was so cold.

P.S.Christine your two little daughter are so cute.

Farming, dairies and foods

Hi everyone, I am going to talk about farming in my country and I would share my favorite food with you. My country is a farming place where you can grow a lot of different food. You can grow fruits, vegetables or almost anything that you want.

My country is a tropical place so that is why things grow really fast there. In the cost north of my country there they grow pineapple, bananas, corn, watermelon, cantaloupe and most important coffee.

The mains crop in my corn, in the almost every part of the country; coffee in the coldest place; and bananas in the north of the country.

I think my favorite crop is pineapple but I am allergic to pineapple but I still eat it, even is after my whole body would be itchy.

My favorite food is tacos. They are so delicious and you can put almost anything in it. In my country you can find them every where and they are really cheap.

Classwork

I have learn a lot of things about cows and dairies today. This are some facts that I just like the most:
  • Cows have a really good sense of smell and can smell something from 6 miles away.
  • If the cow is comfrotable and not psychicaly stressed is healthier and happier.
  • A cow can be milked (consecutive days) is 175.
  • The temperature thatthe milk need to be keep is 38 degrees( it didn't said if it was celsius or fahrenheit).
  • And, also, cows do not have four stomachs, they have one large stomach with four compartments that play a different role in the digestion process.

My experience in a shelter!!!

Yesterday was my first time in a shelter. What I had always imagine a shelter liked a messy stinky place, but where we went yesterday, it was not a how I had imagine. This place was clean, and there was a lot of free space between each bed.
This shelter had been working for more than 30 years and it was all thanks to the community of Burlington. It all started a Christmas Eve because people where sleeping on the street in the middle of winter, and as you all know here is really cold, but really cold in winter.
This are how the street are in winter.. Do you imagine living outside?

What I most like about this shelter is that each person that lives there they have to help with the chores and they have to be very kind to each other because you see one another really often.
Also, there is  not a limit in staying in this shelter but you should like start looking for a job or studying.
This organization, also, help families that have loss their houses for different reason or they could not afford to pay one any more.
I think in my country there are some kinds of agencies like this one but they don't work the same as this one, because they may be dirtier, messier and have more people.

The majority of people that stay here are from here from Burlington or the near cities, but still there are people all over the US, too.
So my experience in here was really great and I have a great time. The only thing I wish we could have done was to interact with the people in these shelter.
Andrea here and out.
P.S.Christine sorry I could not post yesterday. I just get back and when to sleep,sorry....
